Online Estate Planning Program

Our Online Estate Planning Program combines the convenience of online service with our traditional legal counseling process without the need to travel to our office.  Our commitment to designing a high-level, custom estate plan for you and your family is same whether you elect to meet in-office or online.

Planning Process

1.) Registering and Client Portal Access

In order to get started, register here.  After registering, we will send you log-in information to access your Client Portal The Client Portal will allow us to securely share documents with you during the estate planning process (e.g., fee schedule, questionnaire, summary documents, etc.).

2.) Initial Meeting

The registration process will also allow you to suggest a convenient time for our no-fee initial meeting.  We will email you a meeting invitation with a link to join a scheduled video conference.  During the meeting we will discuss your goals/concerns and Mr. McClellan will recommend a planning strategy.  At the end of that meeting, Mr. McClellan will set a flat fee for our services (fees vary based on the complexity of the planning) and provide a time frame for completing the project (usually 1 to 2 weeks).

3.) Drafting & Review

After the initial meeting, Mr. McClellan will draft your estate planning documents and we will upload summaries into the Client Portal for your review.  If necessary, we will update your documents based on your review comments.  When you approve the summary documents, we will schedule a second video conference for Mr. McClellan to review the full estate planning documents with you.

4.) Signing Meeting

While we prefer to directly supervise the signing meeting to ensure that the documents are properly executed, we can mail you a signing package with detailed signing instructions and color-coded signing tabs.  You will need to sign the estate planning documents before two non-interested witnesses and a Notary Public.  Alternatively, we will be happy to supervise the signing meeting in our office with our witnesses and Notary.

5.) After Signing

After signing, we ask that you return the signed documents back to our office for signature review and scanning.  We will then mail you a full Estate Planning Portfolio Binder along with your original signed documents.  We also suggest that you contact your financial institutions after signing to ensure that your beneficiary designations coordinate with your estate plan.
